This policy explains what personal data OM Labs collects when you visit this website, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
OM Labs e.U., Hofstattweg 14, 6710 Nenzing, Austria. Email: office@om-labs.com
Contact. When you email us or use a contact form, we process the information you provide (name, email address, message content) to respond to your enquiry.
Website analytics. We use a self-hosted instance of Matomo Analytics, configured for data minimisation, to understand how visitors use this site. IP addresses are anonymised, only aggregated and anonymised visit data is retained (no individual visitor profiles), and data is not shared with third-party advertising networks.
Server logs. Our hosting provider, All-Inkl (Germany), automatically logs technical information (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and stability purposes. Our email (office@om-labs.com) is also hosted via All-Inkl.
We process this data based on our legitimate interest in operating and securing this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), to take steps prior to entering a contract or to respond to your enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and, where applicable, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
This site uses a small number of essential cookies required for basic functionality. Our self-hosted Matomo Analytics instance sets a first-party cookie to recognise repeat visits. Matomo is configured to minimise the data it collects: individual visitor profiles and visit logs, precise device model and screen resolution, and full browser/OS version numbers are not stored, and referrer information is anonymised. Because this does not build an identifiable profile of you, it runs on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) rather than requiring a consent banner. You can object to this analytics tracking at any time via our opt-out tool or by contacting us at office@om-labs.com.
We do not sell your personal data. Data may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. hosting, email), under data processing agreements where required. We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), www.dsb.gv.at. To exercise your rights, contact us at office@om-labs.com.
Our hosting and email provider, All-Inkl, is based in Germany (EU). We do not currently transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA.
